Rainbird is a colloquial name given to birds that are sing before the rains.
Babiha, or Chaatrik, or Papeeha are some of the local names for these birds. Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji has many mentions of this bird's craving and singing to quench its' thirst, to imagine the pain of being separated from the Almighty.
