Advice to the younger me - You can't please everyone

That disapproving look
ignore it
Those expectations
don't care

Disappoint a few people
no guilt allowed
Decide on a few who matter
set your priorities

I think of my choices
every step of the way
So many advises...
actually it's just one

You can't please everyone
don't try to
If you think everyone approves
you're doing something wrong

Be selfish - a little
Compromise - when you want to
Choose who matters - most don't
'You can't please everyone'

  2. Reminded me of the story of a father, son and a donkey. Pleasing every one is so difficult and so futile in the end! Indeed a very wise advice!
